Does anyone have a tip for raising African Violets?

Plenty of water... or some sort of flux capacitor.

Don't get the leaves wet when you water. It will kill them.

Tip from my great grandmother - after drinking the last of the milk from a plastic milk jug and before throwing it away, fill it with water (which mixes with the milky residue) and use to water your violets. It's a tip for which my beautiful, flourishing violets are quite thankful.
