What flower are you?

I am a
Daffodil

What Flower
Are You?

You have a sunny disposition and are normally one of the first to show up for the party. You don't need too much attention from the host once you get there as you are more than capable of making yourself seen and heard.

* Note

This is a really long test so no I did not attempt to throw the results....I am my favorite flower! Isn't that cool?

Choco-Banana Pops

We are enjoying Summer. Its finally warmed up here and the temps are sticking at a moderate temp 50s/60s in the morning 70s/80s in the day. Yesterday we took a nice family bike ride through to the bank and drove through the drive through...that was fun! It wasn't very busy (early morning) so we didn't cause a traffic jam. Jaiden got a new bike a few weeks ago but couldn't quite grasp the concept of peddling so we've been working on that. Yesterday she made it all the way around the block! Once she got it she has just taken off (quite literally) Its quite a workout to follow her :)
*
*Here' s a fun, quick and easy summer recipe that we'd like to share: (this photo taken just moments ago represents just how yummy they are)
*
*Choco-Pops
Melt Dark Chocolate chips in microwave (about 1 minute) Slice a ripened banana in half. Insert popsicle stick...or a kabab stick will do. Spread, pour or dip dark chocolate onto banana halves. Freeze. Enjoy!

*Note

This tasty (and healthy) treat would be great cut into bite sized slices prior to freezing (I will try this next time) :) If you try it, let me know how it turned out!

Irish Whiskey Torte....mmmmmm

This week I have been in Kansas City for a workshop....just got back this afternoon. It was four day of lots of helpful information about my job...but mostly spending time with some of the other girls in my region that do the same job as me just talking, laughing, shopping...fun stuff like that.

I didn't realize how much I'd been missing that...its good to be home...although I am a bit exhausted still and there is lots of catch up work to do here now that I'm home...so gotta scoot!

Hope you've had a great week!

Oh, and last night we had dinner at O'Douls (an Irish pub) we had drinks up on the rooftop...sitting in the sun...surrounded by laughter....strawberry daquiries and an Irish Whiskey torte for dinner...can't do that at home :) Celebrated my 1 year anniversary with this job...and pondered in my mind where I'd be a year from now...

HOT Fudge Sunday... and sweet ice tea in a mason jar

No coffee today, just lots and lots of ice tea as any good Southern person knows the best way to beat the heat is to drink it cold and sweet (and from a mason jar) just makes it taste better...don't ask me why.

Yes, it's finally warmed up!!! (Finally reached the 80s...maybe even 90!) The past 3 days have been nothing short of heavenly. I've been out enjoying every minute of each day...digging and planting and digging and planting and then when I am so exhausted I come in and drink some sweet tea and then I go out and dig and plant some more...I've just about run out of places to dig...hubs will have to get busy and alot me some more flower beds....his lawn is so precious that each square inch he gives me is like a gift. But he puts the hard work into edging them all with pavers so I can't complain a bit.

We've been having a great weekend and its easier to see why than to try to write it out...because I'm all rested up now and I can almost hear the dirt calling my name....gotta go!

I've finally posted some new photos onto our photosite. Go take a peek and please feel free to leave comments. Have a wonderful week!
